Bosses

Bosses are large, aggressive enemies intended to offer a substantial challenge to players. Defeating certain bosses is required to progress the game.

Each boss has its own particular method of being summoned. Some bosses are found naturally in the world, whereas others are summoned by placing their boss-summoning item in a specific area.

All bosses reward the player with various randomized loot, such as armor, accessories, weapons and materials. Bosses typically require many re-fights in order to obtain all of their drops.

There are a total of 17 bosses in the game (19 including seasonal variants).

Glurch the Abominous Mass

Glurch the Abominous Mass is a giant orange slime found within the Undergrounds, approximately 65 tiles from The Core in an area covered with slime. They are balanced around being fought first.

The screen will begin to shake and a loud thumping sound can be heard when Glurch is nearby. Once defeated they can be re-summoned by placing a Giant Slime Summoning Idol on their rune.

Glurch attacks by quickly leaping towards players, dealing damage where they land.

Defeating Glurch drops the Glurch Eye, an item required for progression.

Ghorm the Devourer

Ghorm the Devourer is a giant larva that travels in a circle around the Clay Caves and the Forgotten Ruins.

Defeating Ghorm drops Ghorm's Horn, an item required for progression.

King Slime

King Slime is a giant blue slime (from Terraria) that can be summoned by placing a Crown Summoning Idol on any slime summoning rune.

King Slime attacks by quickly leaping towards players, dealing damage where he lands. He will summon one Royal Slime for every 700 health he loses.

The Hive Mother

The Hive Mother is a large mass found at the center of a Larva Hive.

Malugaz the Corrupted

Malugaz the Corrupted is a large caveling shaman found within the Forgotten Ruins.

Azeos the Sky Titan

Azeos the Sky Titan is a flying bird found within Azeos' Wilderness.

Defeating Azeos unlocks the Soul of Azeos, which is required for progression.

Ivy the Poisonous Mass

Ivy the Poisonous Mass is a giant poison slime found within Azeos' Wilderness, approximately 600 tiles from The Core in an area covered with slime. Their location can be revealed using an Ivy the Poisonous Mass Scanner.

The screen will begin to shake and a loud thumping sound can be heard when Ivy is nearby. Once defeated they can be re-summoned by placing a Giant Slime Summoning Idol on their rune.

Ivy attacks by quickly leaping towards players, dealing damage where they land. Occasionally they will briefly pause and shoot poison mortars from the sky. These deal moderate damage on impact and have a chance of spawning a Poison Slime.

Omoroth the Sea Titan

Omoroth the Sea Titan is a giant sea monster found within the Sunken Sea.

Defeating Omoroth unlocks the Soul of Omoroth, which is required for progression.

Morpha the Aquatic Mass

Morpha the Aquatic Mass is a giant aquatic slime found within the Sunken Sea, approximately 700 tiles from The Core in an area covered with slime. Their location can be revealed using a Morpha the Aquatic Mass Scanner.

The screen will begin to shake and a loud thumping sound can be heard when Morpha is nearby. Once defeated they can be re-summoned by placing a Giant Slime Summoning Idol on their rune.

Morpha attacks by quickly leaping towards players, dealing damage where they land. Every few seconds they will briefly pause and shoot bubbles in random directions, which deal moderate damage.

Ra-Akar the Sand Titan

Ra-Akar the Sand Titan is a giant scarab beetle found within the Desert of Beginnings.

Defeating Ra-Akar unlocks the Soul of Ra-Akar, which is required for progression.

Igneous the Molten Mass

Igneous the Molten Mass is a giant magma slime found within the Molten Quarry.

Atlantean Worm

The Atlantean Worm is a giant sea worm found roaming around the Sunken Sea.

Druidra the Wild Titan

Druidra the Wild Titan is a hydra found roaming around Azeos' Wilderness.

Defeating Druidra unlocks the Soul of Druidra, which is required for progression.

Crydra the Ice Titan

Crydra the Ice Titan is a hydra found roaming around the Sunken Sea.

Defeating Crydra unlocks the Soul of Crydra, which is required for progression.

Pyrdra the Fire Titan

Pyrdra the Fire Titan is a hydra found roaming around the Desert of Beginnings.

Defeating Pyrdra unlocks the Soul of Pyrdra, which is required for progression.

Core Commander

The Core Commander is the final story boss of Core Keeper. It is fought within the Desert of Beginnings.

Urschleim

Urschleim is a giant mass that travels in a circle around the Passage.

Event bosses[]

Event bosses are variations of bosses exclusive to specific seasonal events.

Haunted Hive Mother

The Haunted Hive Mother is a Halloween variant of The Hive Mother, summoned by placing a Haunted Hive Mother Summoning Idol on the Hive Mother's rune. The fight is identical, however they drop some additional Halloween-themed loot.

Awakened Azeos

Awakened Azeos is an Easter variant of Azeos the Sky Titan, summoned by placing a Large Golden Egg (instead of a Large Shiny Glimmering Object) inside of Azeos' arena. The fight is identical, however they drop some additional Easter-themed loot.
