Critters

Critters are passive creatures found all over the world. They can be caught with a Bug Net and carried around as an item.

All critters except glowbugs are considered insects and can be placed inside Terrariums. They can also fed to Strolly Polys and Dodos to produce Strolly Poly Plates and Dodo Eggs, respectively.

There are a total of 22 critters in the game.

Types[]

Ground critters can be squished and killed by players when walked over, unless the Squash bugs setting is disabled.

Blackbug	All	This tiny bug appears in many different places. Right now it's looking for a new home.
Earthworm	Undergrounds, Clay Caves, Azeos' Wilderness	A worm. Nothing special about it.
Larvlet	Clay Caves	A tiny larva that doesn't harm you but likes to be collected and held in a warm hand.
Pest Bug	Forgotten Ruins	A disgusting insect that moves with uncanny speed. It commonly is found in places that have darkness, dirt and food to offer.
Leafhopper	Azeos' Wilderness	A very nervous little fellow. The faintest hint of danger makes it jump away into safety.
Sun Pincher	Sunken Sea	This red-yellow crustacean always has its claws raised which gives it a seemingly happy expression.
Moon Pincher	Sunken Sea	This blue-purple crustacean always has its claws raised which gives it a seemingly happy expression.
Little Death	Desert of Beginnings	This small scorpion is harmless to humans but can easily kill smaller creatures if it needs food.
Manyleg	Desert of Beginnings	This desert critter has an unknown amount of legs. It would simply take too long to count them.
Gem Snail	Shimmering Frontier	A small snail that slowly works its way through the dangers of the Shimmering Frontier.
Shadow Newt	Shimmering Frontier	A dark fellow with seemingly unseeing eyes. But they stare deep into your soul.

Yellow Glowbug	Undergrounds, Clay Caves, Desert of Beginnings	This flying bug always appears in swarms which appear as dancing lights. Its yellow glow is biome-specific.
Blue Glowbug	Forgotten Ruins	This flying bug always appears in swarms which appear as dancing lights. Its blue glow is biome-specific.
Green Glowbug	Sunken Sea	This flying bug always appears in swarms which appear as dancing lights. Its green glow is biome-specific.
Red Glowbug	Azeos' Wilderness	This flying bug always appears in swarms which appear as dancing lights. Its red glow is biome-specific.
Dusk Fairy	Azeos' Wilderness	A tiny butterfly with very delicate wings. Catching it without harming them requires a lot of caution.
Dream Messenger	Azeos' Wilderness	Said to be a bringer of good dreams this butterfly is always seen among sleeping creatures.
Citrus Pinion	Azeos' Wilderness	An erraticly fluttering butterfly that has bright colors irritating to the naked eye.
Ice Wind	Sunken Sea	This blue butterfly flaps its wings so fast that it creates cold air streams.
Crimson Wing	Azeos' Wilderness, Sunken Sea	A small butterfly with deep red wings that seeks the company of other critters.
Snoot Fly	Shimmering Frontier	Frantically flying around, this little mosquito pokes at other lifeforms for a potential drop of blood.
Drape Ray	Passage	This luminous dweller drifts through the air like a calm breath, even in the most impetuous areas.
