The Crude Drill is a mechanism that requires electricity to function. Its primary purpose is to harvest ore boulders, but it can also be used to mine any wall and damage creatures, similar to a trap.

Crude Drills deal 30 damage every second to ore boulders and walls in front of them. This ignores all damage reduction, allowing them to break all non-indestructible walls such as the Maze Block.

Additionally, they deal 11−13 damage every other second to all creatures directly in front of them.

Notes[]

  • Crude Drills will pull items dropped inside them through to the back.
  • With one Crude Drill on an ore boulder, it produces one ore every 4 minutes and 15 seconds. Additional drills on a single boulder decrease the time to produce one ore from the deposit, with diminishing returns.
    • However, to maximize production, it is still best to use the maximum of 8 drills, which together produce one ore every 45 seconds.
