Dungeons are procedurally generated structures that usually consist of multiple rooms connected by paths, sometimes incorporating scenes.

The game uses its dungeon system to generate structures that players would not traditionally consider dungeons, such as sub-biomes and small houses.

Every dungeon in the game is listed below. Note that not all dungeons have official names.

Random dungeons[]

The following dungeons generate in the world randomly. Dungeons always generate before scenes; scenes without a set distance cannot spawn in chunks occupied by dungeons.

Weight determines how likely a dungeon is to generate relative to other dungeons in the same section.

History[]

  • 1.0.1.11: The entrance points of a dungeon can no longer spawn on top of each other.
  • 1.0.1.0:
    • There are now dungeons leading up to the fight against Azeos the Sky Titan, Omoroth the Sea Titan and Ra-Akar the Sand Titan.
    • Increased randomness of unique dungeon placement for different world seeds. For example, the Glurch slime area should no longer always appear south-west of The Core.
    • Fixed several cases where dungeons would spawn too close together and partially overwrite each other.
  • 0.7.5-580c: Several improvements to the dungeon generation systems, including a complete rewrite of the algorithms used to place paths connecting different rooms.
  • 0.1.91e2cab: Introduced.
