A fish shoal (also known as a fishing spot) is an area of bubbling water that spawns randomly. If the player casts their rod into a fish shoal, they will get a bite much more quickly than they would in calm water (from 7–16 seconds to 3–5 seconds). It will also guarantee that they catch a fish.
Fish shoals have a 50% chance to disappear after 2–4 catches and will always disappear after 5.
Spawning[]
Fish shoals can spawn in every liquid except lava and grimy water. They can also be found pre-spawned in certain scenes.
