Core Keeper The Mold Dungeon

The Mold Dungeon is a sub-biome that generates within Azeos' Wilderness. It is composed of tough Mold Blocks, which when stood on, inflict the player with the "mold infection" debuff. This debuff stacks up to ten times, and progressively slows the player down more and more for each stack gained while walking on mold.

The Mold Dungeon often contains one or more Mold Covered Chests in a room guarded by enemies. In the chests the player can find a Mold Vein Necklace, and from the enemies a Mold Ring can be acquired. Having both equipped makes the player immune to infection, thus making it easy for the player to go through and dodge attacks in time.

  • Tips[]

    • Due to the given limited mobility, using a range weapon to kill Infected Cavelings and Mold Tentacles is one of the safer ways to get through.
    • The Mold Dungeon tends to spawn enemies rapidly. Without proper preperation, a player will find themselves overwhelmed easily. Healing Potions, stat-increasing food and a minimum of Scarlet armor are recommended, if not required.
    • The player can use a shovel to get rid of the Mold Blocks on the floor and replace them with bridges or other blocks, thus avoiding the infection debuff and making attack easier to avoid. Using a hoe to cultivate the ground will also stop Cavelings from spawning.
    • Wearing a Mold Ring and a Mold Vein Necklace makes the player immune to the infection, making the dungeon significantly easier to travel through.
    • The infection debuff maxes out at 70% reduced movement speed. Dash feathers are not affected by the debuff, making them an excellent counter.
