The Nilipede is a common enemy native to the Shimmering Frontier. They consist of multiple segments and can travel through walls. They only emerge from walls when a player is nearby.
Spawning[]
Nilipedes spawn on Crystal Block ground (often in groups) during the initial generation of an area; they do not respawn.
An upgraded Sticky Stick will almost completely immobilize Nilipedes.
The Lava Battle Axe and its Wide Slash secondary are extremely effective against Nilipedes. Wide Slash can hit multiple Nilipedes at once, and the burning effect allows the player to see their position inside walls.
