It`s easy to kill the hive Mother alone without help. Just dig a hole around you, while shooting direct to the hive mother with some bow. I use the Ironbow and kill her, while the creeps can't get me through this. You have to watch how far the Hive mother can spray their acid. But besides this, it's just easy to kill her.
